Decorey — a 2020 graduate from Evans High School, A Community Partnership School — is the first member of his family to receive a high school diploma and accept admission into college!

Decorey will graduate from Evans High School, A Community Partnership school. He has accepted admission to Valencia College.

Throughout his high school education, Decorey and his family found support through the Community Partnership Schools model at Evans — affectionately called “The Hub”.

“The HUB helped me by providing me with support, encouragement, and food packages which helped with the situation we were going through,” said Decorey. “Being a family of five in a one bedroom apartment, the HUB helped me to stay focused and not think too much about what was going on in life at times. I am thankful for the support that I received.”

Community Partnership Schools focus on supporting kids inside and outside of the classroom to help them realize their full potential.

Since implementing the Community Partnership School model in 2012, the graduation rate at Evans has increased from 64% to 88.9%.

Please join us in congratulating Decorey on his hard work. We can’t wait to see what he’ll do next.
