Celebrating our child welfare professionals
We honor our unsung heroes all year long!
Working in child welfare is something that has always been embedded in me. My parents were charitable; they always wanted to help people, especially the poor. Through their examples, they taught me the importance of helping people in need.
To work in child welfare, your heart needs to be in it. It’s an incredible emotion when a person helps bring a family back together. Any time a child can return home to a parent in a safe environment is a winning moment in my book. But for this to happen, it takes a team of people; no one can do it alone. I’ve been fortunate to work with and serve with others – case managers, attorneys and judges – who help support me in my end goal to safely bring families back together. At Children’s Home Society of Florida, we work together as a team to get things done.
