As I sit here and think about our volunteers and the work they do for us every day, I can’t help but to think that a week is nowhere close to enough time to thank and appreciate all our volunteers for all they do for us and more importantly, for the children and families we work with. For those of you that don’t know, April is Volunteer Appreciation Month. This and every month, I want to say a huge THANK YOU to all of our volunteers–past, present, and future! Whether you mentored our children, helped clean toys to keep our children safe, watch our children so that parents could receive invaluable parent training, helped in one of our many offices, adopted a child, became a foster parent, helped out at one of our many galas or 5Ks, or anything in between, you made a difference far greater than you will ever know.

Over the last 115 years, we have relied on volunteers just like you to help us achieve everything we have as an organization. But, here’s the cool part, we are just getting started! We will need countless more volunteers over the next 115 years to continue to move our vision forward. Are you up for the challenge? Whether you have never volunteered with us, or you’ve volunteered with us for decades, we still need every one of you!
