A Gala Affair with Mardi Gras Flair!
Benefiting The Faine House, a program of Children’s Home Society of Florida, An Evening of HOPE brings together more than 500 community leaders and influencers to provide young adults formerly in foster care with the resources and support they need to create their own path to independence and self-reliance.
Guests enjoy an elegant dinner, live entertainment, dancing, games of chance, and silent and live auctions with a wide array of unique experiences and items.
An Evening of HOPE funds approximately 40 to 50% of the annual operating expenses of The Faine House. Your support will make a difference!
About The Faine House:
Since opening its doors in 2013, The Faine House has provided guidance for young adults exiting foster care in 5 basic essentials for a successful adulthood: education; housing and transportation; employment; health and wellness; and personal finance. Every day, The Faine House lives out its motto, “change a life, change the world.”
Without a support system for these youth, the statistics can be staggering: 1 in 5 will become homeless, 1 in 4 will experience post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), only 50% will be employed at the age of 24, 71% of young women will be pregnant by age 21, and they are ten times more likely to be incarcerated.
