A Safe Place to Talk
Everyday, CHS staff members talk with women who are pregnant, scared and confused. These expectant mothers need professional counseling and practical advice, not a lecture. They need help to explore all options, including adoption and parenting. They need help to make decisions they feel are best.
A trained counselor guides each expectant mother in planning for her unborn child, securing medical and nutritional care, accessing housing, financial and employment assistance, arranging child care, continuing her education, strengthening relationships and coping with emotional distress. In addition to counseling, CHS offers intervention support services to women who may need alternative planning for their child, respite, temporary family placement, and/or adoption services.
