The Mid-Florida Division of Children's Home Society of Florida opened its Ocala office in 1964 and its Gainesville office in 1970. Today, the division has 14 offices and 230 employees covering 16 counties: Alachua, Bradford, Citrus, Columbia, Dixie, Gilchrist, Hamilton, Hernando, Lafayette, Lake, Levy, Marion, Sumter, Suwannee and Union.
