Chairman's Message
My children have been fortunate enough to be raised in a warm, loving family, where there’s always been plenty to eat and, most importantly, an abundance of happy memories that continues to grow.
Unfortunately, too many children don’t have these years of joy to look back on – their memories are filled with nightmares, violence, rejection and, for some, days of hunger, digging through garbage cans to find scraps to fill their empty stomachs.
Their lives are in our hands. We have the power to change their future, to change their present. The children we serve at CHS are neglected, beaten up and lost, left feeling as though no one cares for them. But I do. And I know you do, too.
I care for and feel for every single child in our care, for every child that will be in our care for years to come. With our help, all Florida’s children can be given the love, affection, nurturing and guidance they need to become safe, healthy and prepared for life.
From the bottom of my heart, I thank you for caring, for partnering with us at the CHS Foundation to make a difference in the lives of these children.
Together, we are changing lives; together, we are helping these children come out of the darkness to see the light – to find hope for their futures.
