On October 12, 2008, Joe’s Stone Crab, the legendary Miami Beach restaurant, opens its doors for “Claws for a Cause” to benefit the abused, abandoned and neglected children served by Children’s Home Society of Florida.

The event kicks off at 11 a.m. with a cocktail reception and live auction where guests have the opportunity to meet and mingle with other civic-minded individuals.

Here's a preview of some of the great items up for bid:

-Isle of Capri: Enjoy seven days and six nights in your spectacular resort overlooking the Mediterranean, complete with its own private beach. This trip for a couple includes round-trip air for two, a guided tour down the Amalfi Coast where bougainvillea can grow to cover more than an acre of hillside, and memories to last a lifetime.
