Welcome to the Adoption Archive Program
If you were adopted or placed a child for adoption through the Children's Home Society of Florida anywhere in Florida, your record should be in our archives. To streamline our services, records from throughout the state come to this office and are permanently archived. Our records date back to the beginning of our organization in 1902.
Florida Statutes, Chapter 65C-16.016 and Chapter 63.162 do not allow public access to adoption records. The Adoption Archives Unit at the Children's Home Society of Florida preserves records of its clients so that adoptees, birth parents, and adoptive parents can get background information and receive services for search and reunion in accordance with the statue.
