Secures quality foster homes in Miami-Dade County to provide nurturing homes for children in our care. Foster and adoptive parents receive orientation, training, support, relicensing and more.
Health Connect in The Early Years
Health Connect in The Early Years is a voluntary home visitation program offering health education and support to improve maternal health and pregnancy outcomes, and to enhance child health and development. This program is funded by The Children's Trust, as its mission is to improve the lives of all children and families in Miami-Dade County by making strategic investments in their futures.
Healthy Families Miami-Dade
A community-based, voluntary, in-home program promoting positive parenting and child health and development, thereby preventing child abuse and neglect and other poor childhood outcomes.
Healthy Start
Provides free, voluntary services to pregnant women, infants and children up to age 3. Services include childbirth and parenting education, counseling, and more. This program is funded by Healthy Start Coalition of Miami-Dade, Inc. The goal of Healthy Start is to reduce infant mortality, reduce the number of low birth weights, and improve health and developmental outcomes.
McLamore Children's Center
Provides residential care for children ages 6-11 who have been removed from their homes. Provides around-the-clock intake and 24-hour awake supervision. Children also receive mental health services, facilitation of medical and educational services, and recreational activities.
McLamore Foster Homes
Provide loving care for abused, neglected and/or abandoned children from birth to age 8 until a permanent placement can be found.
PROJECT SMILE FOSTER CARE (Special Mission in a Loving Environment)
Serves children and families whose lives have been touched by AIDS. Loving foster parents provide encouragement and continuous care to children who have HIV/AIDS, and children receive in-home counseling, one-to-one supervision, special behavioral management programs, medication support and case management services.
Residential Group Care

Serves youth ages 12-17. All of the homes are in suburban settings, and two serve teen mothers and their children. Clients receive counseling and support as they transition into adulthood and independence, preparing them for self-sufficiency and success.
Supported Foster Care (Case Management Services)
Serves children and families involved in the dependency system to ensure the children's safety and well-being, whether that means family reunification or adoption.
