Wings of Hope Foundation provides major donation

SOUTH DAYTONA, Fla., Jan. 3, 2007 – Children’s Home Society of Florida – North Coastal Division received a $52,000 donation from The Wings of Hope Foundation, a non-profit organization based in Sanford that supports shelters and group homes for children. The money was raised at the 11th Annual Wings of Hope Foundation Dinner and Auction on Sept. 30, 2006, in Lake Mary.
Children's Home Society of Florida will use the donation to make repairs and renovations to Destiny House, a residential group home and emergency shelter for abused, neglected and abandoned girls ages 13 – 17.
“The services and programs provided by Children’s Home Society of Florida are vital to the safety and well-being of our community’s most vulnerable children. We are honored to once again provide funding to support the loving, secure and comfortable environment for the many children who spend time at Destiny House,” says Kathy Gautsch, president and founder of The Wings of Hope Foundation.
Gautsch established The Wings of Hope Foundation in memory of her son, Brian Christopher Lanier, who was killed in an automobile accident in 1992. The Wings of Hope Foundation is a long-time supporter and benefactor of the Children’s Home Society of Florida.
