Where is The Preschool at Evening Rose located?
We’re located at 3519 Easter Stanley Court, within the Evening Rose Development in Tallahassee, Florida.

What age groups do you serve?
We serve children ages 12 months to 5 years and offer Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK).

What are your hours of operation?
Our hours are 6:45 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. Monday through Friday throughout the full calendar year. We close for the observance of all national holidays and for five days each year for staff development.

What curriculum is implemented?
We’ve adopted Beyond Centers and Circle Time Curriculum©, written by Dr. Pam Phelps, owner of The Creative Pre-School, designed to provide creative, playful and stimulating experiences for young children. The curriculum focuses on well-planned, organized and scaffolded play experiences that help children to develop physically, socially, emotionally and cognitively.

Does my child have to be potty trained in order to enroll?
No — Children do not have to be potty trained to enroll.

Will you serve children with special needs?
Yes — Our curriculum is designed to provide developmentally appropriate experiences for all children in order to meet their unique developmental needs.

What staff-to-child ratio do you use?
Our service ratios align with the strict requirements of our national accrediting agency, the Council of Accreditation (COA):
Ages 12–24 months – one staff to four children (1:4)
Age 2 years – one staff to six children (1:6)
Ages 3-4 years – one staff to eight children (1:8)
VPK – one staff to eight children (1:8).

Are staff members credentialed and CPR/First-Aid certified?
We carefully build our team to ensure we have highly qualified personnel credentialed in the area of Early Childhood, are CPR/First-Aid Certified, and who find joy in working with young children. Ongoing staff development and trainings ensure our staff remains knowledgeable and current in best practices that will best serve our families and children.

Is it too early/late for my child to enroll?
We’re currently accepting enrollment applications for all age groups. A $150 registration fee is due with each completed enrollment application. We’re also accepting pre-registration applications for children to be placed on our priority list to be considered for future enrollment. A non-refundable $25 deposit is due with each completed pre-registration application and will be applied toward your $150 enrollment fee.

How much is the monthly tuition?
Monthly tuition is $724 per child and includes breakfast, a morning snack, lunch, an afternoon snack and a light dinner, daily. We offer a 10 percent sibling discount, which is applicable only one time per family. The Preschool at Evening Rose enrolls children only on full-time basis.
 
Will you offer scholarships and/or accept childcare subsidies?
We’re working in conjunction with Arbor and the School Readiness Program to assist eligible families with their child care needs. Children’s Home Society’s Early Learning Initiative also will offer a limited number of scholarships for families who meet our eligibility criteria.
