Annual Holiday Drive
What would the holidays be without children, families and the special memories and traditions we share? And how could Children's Home Society of Florida help more than 4,200 children in the Big Bend without you? The holiday season is here and we invite you to join us to help thousands of local children experience the joy and magic of the holidays - to create new memories.
Whether you'd like to contribute financially, purchase a special gift for a child or organize a holiday drive at your business or with friends, you can brighten the holidays for children in our community. Interested in making a true difference for a child? Contact Rebecca Amnott, Development Specialist at (850)921-0772 ext. 4206 or Rebecca.Amnott@chsfl.org to get involved.
Bring the joy of the holidays to children in our Big Bend community
- Purchase gifts* from our All-Ages Wish List for children in need, providing special holiday memories. (*We are always in need of gifts for teenagers.)
- Organize a holiday drive with your employees, clients, family and friends. Encourage the community to drop off gifts at your company to benefit the children in our care.
- Purchase gift cards so that our CHS elves can do last minute shopping.
- Contribute financially to keep children safe during the holiday season and beyond.

Financial Support
For more than a century, Children's Home Society of Florida has been a leader in providing critical services to children and families in Florida. But we can’t do it alone. Generous financial support enables us to provide crucial services to those who, without CHS and its partners, may not have a fighting chance. Together, we can help Florida’s children become safe, healthy and prepared for life. Here are just a few ways your dollars change lives:
$45 provides wholesome meals for an entire week for a once-neglected or abandoned child
$148 shelters and offers healing care to an abused child for one day
$1,416 guides a teen for one full year toward safe, healthy independence
$2,665 provides one year of one-on-one mentoring, guidance and friendship for a youth who has an incarcerated parent
$5,087 nurtures healthy family interaction for an entire family for one year
$15,100 places a child into a loving forever family through adoption
*Numbers reflect the average cost for the service. Actual figures may vary slightly.
