Mid-Florida
Mid-Florida Division
Children's Home Society of Florida is the oldest and largest statewide child- and family-serving organization in the state. Founded in 1902 as an adoption organization, we have since placed more than 30,000 children in loving adoptive homes. Today, our mission has expanded to include the fight to end child abuse and neglect.
The Mid-Florida Division was established in Ocala in 1964. We have since expanded to serve 18 neighboring counties: Alachua, Baker, Bradford, Citrus, Columbia, Dixie, Gilchrist, Hamilton, Hernando, Lafayette, Lake, Levy, Madison, Marion, Sumter, Suwannee, Taylor and Union.
Children’s Home Society of Florida, Mid-Florida Division is dedicated to breaking the generational cycle of child abuse and neglect for more and more children through our prevention, intervention and adoption services. Last year, our division served 6,494 children and families. Our goal is to ensure every child is safe, healthy and prepared for life as we continue to focus on our mission of “Embracing Children. Inspiring Lives.”
