United Health Group aids foster family in need

Release date: 1/17/2012

Forty members of the United Health Group Government Affairs Team painted the home of a Children’s Home Society of Florida foster family. After three hours of work, the exterior of home, living room and children’s bedroom had a fresh coat of paint. The volunteers also provided the family with holiday gifts and decorations.
Due to the economic hardship the family had encountered, they had been unable to maintain the appearance of their home. The foster family has provided a safe and loving home for more than three years to many children in foster care. Recently, the family opened their home to a newborn baby boy and adopted a 2-year old-girl they had been caring for since she was a newborn.

“We are so grateful for the philanthropic support the Government Affairs Team has shown today,” says Regine Cordon, Executive Director of Children’s Home Society of Florida, Intercoastal Division. “It is amazing what has been accomplished today. This was a wonderful way to bring holiday cheer to all involved.”
