Glitz, Glamour and Moonlight

Release date: 1/26/2009

January 26, 2009 (TAMPA, Fla.) Glitz, Glamour and Moonlight, the theme of the 31st Annual Silver Coffee, exceeded expectations as it showcased an evening of elegance and compassion. Children's Home Society of Florida thanks the Silver Coffee Committee members for their dedication to the event’s success. This past year, the committee helped raise more than $30,000 to help the children served at Children's Home Society of Florida’s Family Visitation House in St. Pete. The donation ensures an abandoned newborn has diapers in her size; it provides tennis shoes to a neglected toddler who can now safely play outside; it helps an underprivileged adolescent start school with the supplies she needs; it brings comfort and confidence to an abused teenager who has new undergarments for the first time in her life.

Children's Home Society of Florida thanks the Silver Coffee Committee and all those who attended this event. A special thank you to Doug and Sandy Prior for hosting Glitz, Glamour and Moonlight, and a special thank you to the following sponsors: The Cantonis Company; John and Patricia Slaughter; Boos Development Group, Inc.; D-Mar General Contracting & Development, Inc.; George and Lisa Etheridge, Jr.; Pinch A Penny; Mary Elizabeth Welpton; Fisher and Associates, LLC, Quality Boats of Clearwater; Templeton Investment Council, LLC.
