Kobi and Keshaun

Infant twins Kobi and Keshaun joined three half-siblings to create a blended family with their mom and dad in Kissimmee. Unfortunately, Osceola authorities stepped in because of excessive corporal punishment and other violence in their home. As a twin, you have someone to share everything with – good and bad. For 1 year-old twins Kobi and Keshaun, this meant they were a package deal.

Fortunately, CHS could provide a safe haven for Kobi and Keshaun. Their temporary home, the Crisis Nursery, is an emergency shelter for abused, neglected or abandoned children. Kobi and Keshaun joined 16 other children to receive loving care by dedicated staff and volunteers.

The Osceola authorities decided the best place for Kobi and Keshaun would be a new, healthy home. CHS found just the right foster family where the boys would be taken care of until they could be adopted. CHS was able to give these young children a temporary safe place to keep them out of harm and also a permanent loving home to help them grow. Through 20 Central Florida programs, CHS is able to help children like Kobi and Keshaun through emergency shelter, foster care, adoption and, when possible, reunification with their family.
