CHS welcomes Myra SImmons

The Buckner Division of Children’s Home Society of Florida (CHS) announces Myra Simmons as Development Specialist.
Prior to CHS, Simmons worked in public relations for Duval County Public Schools for 12 years. She received her bachelor’s degree from Jacksonville University in marketing and management. Simmons served as a CHS board intern with the Blueprint for Leadership Program for a year before transitioning roles onto staff. As part of her new position, she manages the volunteer and gifts-in-kind programs. While at CHS, she hopes to accomplish her goal of making a difference in children’s lives.
Chartered in Jacksonville in 1902, CHS is dedicated to embracing children and inspiring lives. Every day, CHS works to restore and strengthen families through its various programs and services such as adoption, foster care, child abuse prevention programs and independent living apartments.
