Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is the dress/attire for the event?

Though the event is not black tie, it is not business casual either. It is somewhere in the middle. It is certainly dressy, but not formal.

For men, a dress coat is preferred. Men are expected to wear slacks/dress pants and a nice button-up shirt. They are not expected to wear a tie, but it is always nice if they do.

Women can wear cocktail attire, something they'd wear on Easter Sunday to church or a nice suit.

2. Can children attend the event? How much does a children's ticket cost?

We know, we're CHILDREN'S Home Society of Florida, but we actually discourage patrons from bringing children to this event due to the presence of alcohol. We have several other events throughout the year that are much more family- and children-oriented. We would prefer no one under the age of 21 attends; however, we cannot stop that from happening. If patrons bring their child(ren), they will need to purchase a ticket at full price ($60) for every child over the age of 5. Children 5 years old and younger do not need a ticket.

3. Where do we enter the mall?

You enter the mall through any of the three main entrances: by Ruby Tuesday, the Food Court or center court near Visionworks.

4. Where is Will Call?

If you need to pick up tickets at Will Call the night of the event, you MUST go through the Food Court entrance.

5. Where exactly will the event take place inside the mall?

The event will be EVERYWHERE in public spaces of the mall! Restaurant and wine-tasting stations will be spread throughout both levels of the Avenues Mall.

6. Do you need volunteers for the event?

Yes. If you're interested in volunteering for the event, please contact Myra Simmons at 493-7738. But hurry, volunteer slots fill up quickly.
