For more than a century, CHS has been a leader in providing critical services to children and families in Florida. But we can’t do it alone. Generous financial support enables us to provide crucial services to those who, without CHS and its partners, may not have a fighting chance. Together, we can help Florida’s children become safe, healthy and prepared for life. Here are just a few ways your dollars change lives:

  • $20 provides a pair of shoes for an abused child removed from her home

  • $143 provides one day of safety and love with a foster family for a child

  • $412 provides one month of case management, job coaching, educational guidance, life skills training and mentoring to a teen in our Independent Living Program

  • $888 provides an expectant mother with prenatal and parental education, support and resources for the full duration of her pregnancy so she may properly care for her baby prenatally and be better prepared for the challenges of motherhood

  • $2,128 provides an entire family with a full year of intense in-home family strengthening services to build the family unit and prevent abuse so children may remain in their homes

  • $15,100 places a child into a loving forever family through adoption
