Mission Possible: An Evening of Hope

As The Faine House Advisory Board and Children’s Home Society of Florida monitor the COVID-19 situation, we are placing top priority on the health, safety and well-being of our residents, team members and supporters.

While we had been looking forward to celebrating our special 10th anniversary Evening of Hope Gala with you to raise critical funds for The Faine House and our residents, we have made the decision to postpone our April 4 gala. While we hope to reschedule the event, we don’t have additional details at this time, as we are focusing our efforts on supporting the current needs of The Faine House residents and team members. Once we have new information, we will certainly share.

We are incredibly grateful for your support of the gala and this incredible program serving our local youth and young adults. If you have already paid your sponsorship, we will contact you individually regarding your payment and options based on the information we have at that point regarding rescheduling.

We will most certainly keep you abreast of decisions related to the event, and it is our sincerest hope that you choose to continue supporting this event and The Faine House through your sponsorship and attendance of the rescheduled gala.  Our co-founders, Jeff Sharon and Jeff Faine, and Children’s Home Society of Florida, thank you for your commitment and genuine concern for our residents, confirming why you are regarded as an inspiration to us all.

As our nation goes through this unprecedented situation, we understand that countless individuals and families are affected. Please join us in keeping all those affected by the COVID-19 outbreak in your thoughts during this time.

Sincerely,

Jeff & Brittnie Faine, the Faine House Advisory Board and Children’s Home Society of Florida

About The Faine House:

Since opening its doors in 2013, The Faine House has provided guidance for young adults exiting foster care in 5 basic essentials for a successful adulthood: education; housing and transportation; employment; health and wellness; and personal finance. Every day, The Faine House lives out its motto, “change a life, change the world.”

Without a support system for these youth, the statistics can be staggering: 1 in 5 will become homeless, 1 in 4 will experience post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), only 50% will be employed at the age of 24, 71% of young women will be pregnant by age 21, and they are ten times more likely to be incarcerated.
