CHS Named a Top 100 Company for Working Families
Release date: 8/7/2009
The Orlando Sentinel named Children's Home Society of Florida (CHS) a Top 100 Company for Working Families in the greater Central Florida area. The honor recognizes CHS’ family-focused, employee-centered environment.
In selecting Central Florida companies that “stand out from the rest,” the Orlando Sentinel recognizes innovative organizations that help employees balance work and family life. Selection criteria includes core benefits, family-related benefits, work environments, communication and training opportunities. Several benefits, communication initiatives and employee activities helped CHS earn this distinct honor, including:
· Company-paid Wellness Program;
· 100 percent company-paid group life, long-term disability, and accidental death and dismemberment insurance;
· Generous company match and contribution for our 403(b) plan;
· Phenomenal Employee Assistance Program;
· Company newsletter, intranet and regular all-staff calls with the CEO;
· Tuition reimbursement; and
· Generous paid time off program.
CHS is committed to providing a welcoming, enjoyable, open-door, employee- and family-friendly workplace.
The field of fine for-profit and not-for-profit companies considered for the Top 100 distinction makes this recognition even more meaningful. Honorees represent a broad geographic area that includes more than a dozen counties. Divisions contributing to this award include North Coastal, Brevard, Treasure Coast, South Coastal, Central Florida, Mid-Florida and Gulf Coast, as well as the corporate office.
CHS received recognition during an August 7 luncheon held to honor the Top 100 Companies for Working Families in Central Florida.
